Why the Term “Non-Human Intelligence” Limits Your Expansion
Introducing “Expressions of Consciousness”
If you are reading this, chances are you are familiar with the expression “non-human intelligence.” It is commonly used in metaphysical and “UFO-lore” circles, as well as in discussions involving UAP disclosure.
There are a few problems with this term, which we will get into, but the global issue is that the term itself immediately creates division and limits our ability to understand and interact with “the phenomenon.” The purpose of this article is to break some of the misconceptions and introduce a term that is better suited to gaining a deeper understanding of consciousness and the many forms it can take.
First, let’s tackle the reasons why “Non-Human Intelligence” is a limiting term:
“Non-Human Intelligence” limits our ability to recognize other forms of consciousness:
As soon as we compare other forms of consciousness to humans, we shrink our frame of reference so much that we miss how varied, unique, and extraordinary consciousness can be. This happens because we naturally dismiss forms of awareness that don't share human traits, or because we demand a specific type of "intelligence" for them to qualify. We measure consciousness by technology, logic, or problem-solving—forgetting that a forest or a crystal grid holds profound awareness, even if it has no interest in human metrics of "intelligence."
“Non-Human Intelligence” implies that humans are the standard by which we should measure all other forms of consciousness.
Not only do we limit our ability to recognize other forms of consciousness, but it also subtly reinforces the “human-centric” view that places humans as the pinnacle form of consciousness, above all other recognized expressions such as animals, plants, or Earth herself. At the same time, it can trap us in a subtle inferiority complex: placing humanity 'below' interdimensional or higher-dimensional beings. In truth, all forms of consciousness stem from the same Source. We are all sovereign, equal expressions playing out different roles.
Although you might not see it this way, it’s less about the experiencer’s perception and more about the layperson who is not yet familiar with the phenomena. When the average person is introduced to other forms of consciousness, UAPs, and the existence of a broader universe, terms like “non-human intelligence” subtly reinforce the human-centric perspective and superiority complex. Instead of broadening people’s awareness that all forms of consciousness are connected, equal, and sovereign, it simply contains people’s expanded awareness in a slightly larger box, but a box nonetheless.
This is why a new term is required.
Expressions of Consciousness
Too often, we try to explain the phenomenon in ways that fit our experiences, culture, and language. It is the way we interpret and make meaning of our experiences, but when it comes to anomalous “phenomena”, we simply don’t have the language or experience necessary to fully explain what is occurring.
This is why I would recommend that, instead of restrictive labels, we utilize language that respects the mystery and our lack of understanding. It’s okay to not have all the answers. It’s okay to admit that something is beyond our ability to explain, prove, or understand. What keeps us stuck is clinging to sterile, bureaucratic language that subtly reinforces human superiority and creates artificial division.
Instead of limiting terms like Non-Human Intelligence, I use the term “Expressions of Consciousness” instead. This allows for a broader acceptance that consciousness can be expressed in many ways that are beyond conventional awareness and understanding. Instead of comparing the ‘vessel’ and the ‘intelligence’ level to humans, we expand the potential recognition of consciousness as it is expressed in all forms.
Expanding Your Awareness
Too often, the focus is on NHI as what would classically be known as “Extraterrestrial Beings”… But that is missing the point of it all.
We are already familiar with Humanity being an expression of consciousness, and “NHI” beings. However, what beings and expressions of consciousness are we missing because we are using such a strict recognition filter?
What about expressions of consciousness that already exist on Earth that we already interact with?
What forms of consciousness are already here? Animals? Plants? The land? Others that we can’t yet perceive?
How do you currently relate to and interact with those expressions of consciousness?
As soon as we start to explore beyond the conventional, it opens possibilities that were otherwise impossible to consider. In addition, it opens the door for recognition to occur. And in my experience, there are few more beautiful experiences than recognizing different expressions of consciousness that already exist in our everyday lives. It is incredibly powerful when you finally meet a being that has been in front of you your entire life, waiting to be recognized for what it is.
Disclosure is less about “meeting extraterrestrial” beings and more about recognizing how diverse expressions of consciousness truly are, and opening yourself up to meeting beings who are already right here: simply waiting to be recognized as equals, sovereign, and worthy.
If you want to meet the ‘classic ET’ being, it first starts with being the type of person who meets the beings that exist all around us from a place of partnership and sovereignty. Once you do that, you demonstrate to “higher dimensional” beings that you are capable of meeting them as an equal.
